2024 KRICT ChemDX Hackathon: Colaboratory

We are pleased to announce the upcoming "2024 KRICT ChemDX Hackathon: Colaboratory", an international event hosted by the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT) with the support of the Chemical Data-driven Research Center. The program will promote the development of innovative technologies using the ChemDX chemical database developed by the Chemical Data-Based Research Center.

The event will occur on the following date and at the venue.

Date: Wednesday, November 6, 2024, 09:00 AM ~ Friday, November 8, 2024, 06:00 PM
Venue: Hanbat National Univ. (Nov. 6 - 7) & Didimdol Plaza (4F) in KRICT (Nov. 8), Daejeon, Korea
Format: Offline

Eligibility

graduate students and early-career postdoctoral researchers in the fields of chemistry, physics, and materials who possess intermediate or higher programming skills related to AI and data are encouraged to participate.

Objective

The hackathon aims to promote the development of data utilization technologies and foster the ecosystem for material data usage by leveraging the ChemDX database from the Chemical Data-Based Research Center. This initiative is part of the broader effort to establish a material research data ecosystem platform.

ChemDX: a web-based chemistry-related research data platform which provides four specialized data platforms open to public:
- MatDX, Materials Data eXplorer
- ChemAI, AI Platform for Chemistry
- KCB, Chemical Substance Data Platform for Drug Development
- OpenMRA Toolkit for predicting chemical mixtures' toxicity

Development of machine learning models using the ChemDX platform
Development and enhancement of database functionalities on the ChemDX platform
Development of data visualization features for the ChemDX platform
Proposing concepts for integrating data on the ChemDX platform
